I first picked up golf in 2005 while starting my post-college career in construction management after moving to Los Angeles. I caught the golf bug pretty bad for a few years there but then everything changed.

I met Amy, my now wife (not a golfer), and from then on I spent every bit of free time with her. Then we moved to Seattle together, got married, bought a house, had two kids and fast forward to 2020, I haven’t played any golf in over a decade.

Then one day I stumbled upon the No Laying Up YouTube channel and slowly the golf bug started to come raging back. I invested in a whole new golf bag and for Christmas I asked that the family take some “staycations” in the area so that I could break away for a few hours and play 18 holes.
